COLORFUL JOSHUA TREE SESSION- CAITLAINNE + CHRISTIAN (PART ONE)
Meet Caitlainne & Christian!
I have known Caitlainne for 5-6 years now, we originally met through social media and it was friendship at first coffee meet up :) Or to be more punny, it was an insta-friendship! Over the years we have kept in touch, teamed up on work projects and taken turns visiting each others homes from LA to SD! We always have so much to catch up on when we finally set aside time to meet + we have both changed so drastically over the years. With all of that said, she is someone I can sit and chat with for hours no matter how our lives shift and she always has a contagious uplifting way about her.
C & C are both originally from Chicago, attended the same college, knew of one another through the Arts Department, but never dated. Caitlainne spent some time living in New York, acting and exploring her performance side, but eventually knew LA could be an even better fit. Not only did LA have great opportunity for her, it had Christian! The two of them have spent the last few years living happily together in LA, adding a fur child & finding careers they are both passionate about.
I asked Caitlainne & Christian to model for me knowing that they would be so fun to photograph, they are so giddy and lovable! We had one failed attempt at the sand dunes, everything that could go wrong, including a stand storm, did. Christian emailed me the next day saying that he wanted to PROPOSE to Caitlainne at our re-shoot. Two months of planning, crying in front of our computer screens while secretly communicating and finally, the day arrived. We had given Caitlainne a ring to wear for the styled shoot, you know, to complete the look. This ring was carefully designed by Christian, using Caitlainne’s favorite ring designer. She had no idea it was going to be hers to keep. We shot for three hours, kept our cool and had such a fun time playing in the desert! Here are just a few of my favorite moments with C & C during the first half of our styled “engagement session.”
